I also blame the NFL... your rules are so obtuse that you cannot see that such an obvious error has been made and step in and make the correct call? Why the F*** should we support a product with such stubborn rules rules that can so easily be F'd up by a freaking guy and his inability to control a freaking whistle? The right thing should have been done and precedence should have been made after this game and that precedence should have been the NFL stepping in and saying for interest of the integrity of the NFL, we have no choice but to reverse the decision that was made and grant San Diego the victory... it was an egregious mistake that Ed is extremely shameful of and we will not allow this mistake to be heavy on Ed's mind going forward.

You people throwing it down here are absolutely below the scum on my shoe. Having been a ref in two sports (HS football and hockey), I've been in the position of putting my money where my mouth is. I'd bet many of you fools calling for Ed's head couldn't ref your way out of a paper bag. Even at my lowly local level of amateur sports, we spend hours and hours of training and learning the rules. I dare you to get a football rule book and try to learn them all. I learned enough to pass the annual test, but I still feel like I know little compared to what is out there. I guess it boils down to this: put your money where your mouth is. Learn how to ref (even on the local level) and get out there and do it. I'll bet you'd do a little worse than many of the veteran zebras (as bad as you think they are). Let's see who's calling for suspensions and other sanctions then. I'm out.

Completely unprofessional officiating in a professional sport. I even wonder if it was a blown call or just plain favoritism on Hochulis' part. In the replays you can see that his onfield view is totally unobstructed and he is right on top of the play how can you miss that call. If you can watch that replay and say he does not need to be fired, then you do not need to ever be involved in professional sports as you are not objective!

it mad me sick to watch the denver game, the coach for denver should do the right thing and give the game to the chargers, i only hop the broncos have to experiance a loss in this manner. i have lost all respect for shanahan and the denver technical staff that could not pull their head out of their asses to get the review cameras working. Denver may be a great city but as far as being a bronco fan i have decided to become a charger fan. I want the nfl commisioner to investigate the replay matter and that guy "ED" that calls himself a referee. He could have called it a fumble, screw him and his whistle. OK commissioner earn your money and do the right thing. signed an ex denver bronco fan
